Alfred (Al) Wehrsdorfer

Alfred (Al) Wehrsdorfer, of Woodland Park, died on March 17, 2016.

Al is survived by Edna his wife of 61 years; sons Al, Rich and Bob; daughter Lauri DeYoung; three grandchildren and one step granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughter Kathy and daughter Sharon Robitaille.

Al was vice president of manufacturing for Genstar Gypsum and plant manager for Flintkote and Georgia Pacific. Before his retirement he made 16 moves to nine different states. While a plant manager in Las Vegas, Al received the Boss of the Year award from the local American Business Women’s Association.
Al was born on July 11, 1927 in the borough of Manhatten, New York to Frieda and Max Wehrsdorfer.
He served four years in the Navy before attending Syracuse University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. Al and Edna met their senior year and were married on September 4, 1954.
At his request no services are planned.
